Everything intended for server owners lives under rco-appearance/config/. You should not need to edit escrowed files to change shops, prices, language or normal editor behavior. This page focuses on settings you are likely to touch. If a value already works for your server, there is no benefit in changing it just because it exists.

Core settings

  • Framework — keep auto unless startup explicitly asks you to choose one.
  • Debug — extra diagnostics while reproducing a problem. Turn it back off afterwards.
  • Locale — UI language. Locale files live inside the resource and can be extended.

Useful commands

/rco_creator

Admin-facing repair/edit command for the full appearance editor. Permission is checked server-side.

/reloadskin

Reloads the character’s saved RCO appearance. It is useful after an external script or game state temporarily leaves the ped looking wrong. It is not a save command and does not capture whatever happens to be on the ped at that moment.

Quick Clothing commands

Quick Clothing registers gameplay commands such as:
These are transient actions, not editor saves. They are also available as exports/events for radial menus. See Quick Clothing.

Editor protection

  • InvincibleDuringEditor keeps the player protected while they are inside an appearance editor.
  • PreserveRsgMultiCharacterPreviewTransform is mainly for RSG selection/preview compatibility. Leave it at its default unless you are deliberately replacing that flow.

Shops

Typical shared shop values include:
ShopCost is charged when the relevant shop save is committed, not while the player is browsing previews. Wardrobe mode is for saved outfits and should not behave like a clothing purchase. Store locations are configured in Config.Stores; see Shops & overlays.

Wardrobe limits

These values control the name length and maximum number of saved outfits per character. An external house/hotel wardrobe uses the same saved outfits. You do not need a second outfit database for your housing script.

Map blips

Individual stores can hide their blip when you want a location to exist without advertising it on the map.

Editor lighting

This is local editor lighting so the player can inspect their character at night or inside a dark interior. It does not create a shared world light for other players.

Custom overlays

Custom tattoo/makeup catalogs live in:
Keep each addon pack isolated when possible. It makes updating or removing one pack much easier later. Read Shops & overlays for the workflow.
